Kansas City is deeply rooted in jazz! The Blue Room of the 1930-40's where many of the well known jazz musicians have visited or played! The American Jazz Museum opened in September of 1997 in the historic 18th & Vine district, which been featuring one of the liveliest venues in the world with a strong heritage and a key part of sustaining Kansas City's place in the jazz world! The 18th & Vine district has kept the music alive locally. Many students, musicians and fans are drawn to the museum. This week the museum learned it will benefit from the saxophone that Former President Clinton has donated to the museum.
